Abu Dhabi Highlights

A futuristic piece of architecture!!

The sole attraction I visited in Abu Dhabi turned out to be remarkably impressive. Stay tuned for more photos!

After checking into Andaz Abu Dhabi, I did more detailed research into the attractions that I would have liked to go, and considering their feasibility for a brief yet unhurried excursion. Ultimately (partly due to convenience and a touch of lethargy 😆) I decided to explore The Louvre Abu Dhabi the following day,  conveniently located just 15 minutes away from the hotel. I checked out the hotel slightly earlier than 12pm, placed my luggage with the concierge, and arranged for a Careem (equivalent to Grab) to The Louvre Abu Dhabi.

I bought my tickets my Klook, which cost about USD16 and got further cashback from Shopback. You can use my referral code 94FOGP to earn $5 cashback after accumulating $10 of confirmed cashback or have $300 of fully paid PayLater orders.

Upon reaching the drop-off point, it was a brief 5-minute walk to the entrance. There were complimentary buggy services being offered also, and I gratefully accepted a ride after the driver, who happened to be Singaporean, gestured for me to do so. It was a delightful coincidence to encounter someone from my home country in such a distant location! Such a small world.

Inside, I discovered that there were luggage storage services available, hence realizing that I could have brought my luggage here directly.

If I was honest, I did not expect myself to stay at The Louvre Abu Dhabi for so long. I only reached back the hotel to grab my luggage and to Abu Dhabi Airport almost in the evening, which was about 4-5 hours! However, as a history enthusiast, I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive combination of historical and artistic exhibitions here. The main exhibition alone showcased a mesmerizing array of artifacts and artworks.

The museum also offered numerous Instagram-worthy spots throughout the main exhibition halls.

I then ventured out to the main atrium connecting to another art exhibition. The architecture was stunning! Something similar to right out of a extraterrestrial design 🤣

Adjacent to the Arabian Gulf, The Louvre Abu Dhabi provided a relaxing area facing the bay—a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploration.

Conclusion

Abu Dhabi is truly a captivating city to explore! Despite only visiting The Louvre Abu Dhabi among its numerous attractions, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and stands out as a must-visit destination in my opinion.
